Refunds and cancellation
Last updated 30 September 2026
DRAFT. This is a plain-English draft, written before launch. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, it is not final, and nothing here is binding until we publish a final version and you accept it. We will tell you before it changes.
The short version: 30 days to change your mind, cancel any time from Settings, and your data stays yours.
1. What you are paying for
The Fairbooked subscription: booking software for salons and barbershops. It is billed monthly, in Canadian dollars (CAD), from the day you go live. The Founding 50 price is CA$29 a month, locked for 24 months; the standard price is CA$49 a month. HST is extra where it applies. There is no free trial.
See the pricing page for exactly what is included.
2. 30-day money-back
If Fairbooked is not right for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of the day you go live and we will refund the subscription you paid for that period in full. You do not need to give a reason.
3. After the first 30 days
After 30 days we do not refund a partial month. If you cancel part-way through a month you have already paid for, you keep full access until that month ends, and you are not charged again.
If we charge you by mistake, or charge you twice, tell us and we will put it right and refund the extra charge.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel any time, yourself, from Settings inside the app. There is no contract beyond the month you are in, no cancellation fee, and no need to call anyone. Cancelling stops the next monthly charge; it takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.
5. Your data after you cancel
Your clients, appointments, services, staff and payment records are yours. You can export them as CSV whenever you like, and for 90 days after you cancel. After that we may delete them.
6. What a refund does not cover
A refund covers our subscription only. Card fees, and any optional card reader you buy, are charged by Stripe or by your own card machine provider, not by us, and are not covered by our refund. We take nothing from your card payments.
7. How to ask for a refund
Write to us using the details below. Tell us the salon name and the email address on your account, and that you want a refund. We will confirm by reply, and pay the refund back to the card you paid with. How quickly it shows on your statement is up to your bank.
